Slo-Mo goodness is in. Good business for the makers of the Phantom camera.

I'm seeing more and more brilliant pieces of video work - some commercial, like the Pedigree ad from TBWA Toronto, and some experimental, like the Pink Terror piece.

Whatever the case, I have to wonder why is "slow motion" video so hot/trending at the moment?

Do these bursts of pixel ejaculations amidst our hectic, 140-character limited day provide us with a sense of calm?

Stop and smell the flowers for a second (or two) and look at the details.

I dunno about you, but these slo-mos suck me in and make me appreciate the thought behind what went into the making of them.

Thanks all you slo-mo folks. For making me stop and smell the pixels.

Now back to our regular, hectic pace.
